The Department of Turkish Language and Social Sciences Education consists of two division: Turkish Language Education and Social Studies Education. The Social Studies Education Divison began admitting students in the 2016-2017 academic year, and the Turkish Language Education Division in the 2018-2019 academic year. Our department has a total of 7 faculty members and 1 research assistant.

Our department's vision is to become a department that provides high-quality education, achieves world standards in its field, continuously monitors and contributes to developments in its field, plays an active role in spreading lifelong learning goals, trains teachers and academics dedicated to education, interacts with its stakeholders, and produces leading individuals in its field through original thought and work, a department whose members are proud to be a part of.

Our department's mission is to train Turkish language teachers, Social Studies teachers, and academics who are contemporary, expert in their fields, closely follow developments in education and training, are idealistic, inquisitive and analytical, and respectful of human values, thus contributing to the development of our country. We also aim to contribute to global developments in our field by following and contributing to these developments, to contribute to the professional development of students and academics by conducting joint projects with various national and international institutions and organizations, and to provide the necessary support to our country's teachers.
