Its establishment was proposed to the Council of Higher Education by decision No. 97/3 of the Cumhuriyet University Senate dated October 1, 1997, and its establishment was approved at the meeting of the General Assembly of the Council of Higher Education held on December 15, 1997; As announced in the letter dated December 17, 1997, No. 25396, from the Presidency of the Higher Education Council, the Akdağmadeni Vocational School began its educational activities on September 14, 1997, with the Metalworking and Mining Programs, and has since shown significant growth with the new programs it launched shortly thereafter. Akdağmadeni Vocational School was incorporated into Yozgat Bozok University, established in 2006, and continues to provide education and instruction as a unit of that university, offering a total of six programs.
