Dear Students,
In a world where quality university education is becoming increasingly important, the primary goal of our school—the oldest and most established Vocational School within the Yozgat Bozok University family—is to educate you, in line with our university’s goals and principles, to become individuals who are professionally competent, prepared for competition, self-confident, virtuous, globally minded, hardworking individuals capable of contributing to their country through the value they create. In pursuit of these goals, our school has proven itself in terms of the quality of education and instruction, the competence of its academic and administrative staff, and its physical facilities, while also working to improve itself through the principle of continuous improvement.
The role of universities is not merely to impart knowledge to students but also to instill critical thinking skills, research abilities, and the capacity to access information. As the renowned philosopher Immanuel Kant put it, “the ability to think with one’s own mind” (Sapere aude!) is one of the essential qualities every university graduate must possess. Our greatest goal is for you to graduate not only as professionally qualified individuals but also as well-rounded individuals who have developed both humanistically and culturally. I want you to know that our university’s hardworking and idealistic academic staff is always ready to assist you in this regard. Your duty, dear students, is to be diligent and responsible; never to stray from the guidance of reason and science.
Remember that you will be the bright future of our country, its productive and dynamic force. In this regard, each of you possesses unique value and potential. You must have confidence in yourselves in every way and recognize your own worth. As the great leader and founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, once said: “Young people, with the education and knowledge you are receiving, you will become the most valuable symbol of humanity and civilization, love of country, and freedom of thought.”
With these thoughts in mind, I wish you all success in your educational journey and send you my warmest regards.
