At Akdağmadeni Vocational School, events titled “TÜBİTAK 2209-A Project Writing Training” and a “Director-Student Meeting” were held to support students' scientific research and project development skills, while also strengthening communication between the student body and the administration.

The program took place on October 20, 2026, at 15:00 in the Vocational School’s conference hall. In the first session, Dr. Uğur Dağtekin provided training on project writing within the scope of the “TÜBİTAK 2209-A Research Projects Support Program for University Students.”

During the training, comprehensive information was shared regarding the objectives of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A program, application procedures, project preparation stages, project monitoring, and evaluation criteria. Furthermore, key considerations—such as developing project ideas, conducting literature reviews, determining research methodologies, and preparing budgets—were explained through practical examples. By offering project ideas and research topics tailored to the students' respective fields of study, the session aimed to enhance their awareness of scientific research processes.

Following this, a “Director-Student Meeting” was held with the participation of the Vocational School Director, Dr. Abdulsamet Duran. During the meeting, the Director informed students about the credit-earning advantages available through TÜBİTAK 2209-A projects, within the framework of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Support (SOBİ-EK) initiative and micro-credentials.

In this meeting, where students had the opportunity to convey their views and suggestions directly to the administration; Educational and instructional activities, opportunities for scientific research, social amenities, and student expectations were discussed. By listening to the requests and suggestions of our students, ideas were exchanged regarding the enhancement of existing facilities and potential solutions to the challenges encountered.

The meeting—which was significant for strengthening a student-centered management approach and fostering student participation in decision-making processes—concluded following a productive exchange of views and assessments.

As Akdağmadeni Vocational School, we extend our gratitude to Assistant Professor Uğur Dağtekin for this valuable educational session, which helped our students cultivate a culture of scientific research and develop project-based thinking skills. We also thank all the students who participated in the program and shared their insights and suggestions.
