BANKING AND INSURANCE PROGRAM
The Banking and Insurance Program was established in 2006 within Akdağmadeni Vocational School at Yozgat Bozok University. The program offers a two-year associate degree education that combines theoretical knowledge with practical training.
The program is designed to equip students with the professional knowledge, practical skills, and competencies required by the banking, finance, and insurance sectors. Through its curriculum, students are prepared for employment in a wide range of institutions, including public and private banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, accounting firms, and other organizations operating in the financial services sector.
To be eligible for graduation, students must successfully complete all courses and academic requirements specified in the curriculum, totaling 120 ECTS credits, and complete the compulsory 30-day internship. The internship provides students with an opportunity to gain practical experience and become familiar with professional practices in the sector before graduation.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates of the Banking and Insurance Program have a wide range of career opportunities in the financial services sector. They may pursue careers in public and private banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, accounting firms, information technology centers, and other organizations operating in banking, finance, and insurance.
Graduates who wish to specialize in insurance may work in public or private institutions and organizations providing insurance services. They may also pursue entrepreneurial opportunities and establish their own insurance agencies, provided that they meet the requirements stipulated by the relevant legislation.
Under Insurance Law No. 5684 and the applicable regulations governing insurance activities in Türkiye, graduates of Banking and Insurance Programs may benefit from specific professional rights and opportunities within the insurance sector. These qualifications provide graduates with additional career prospects in insurance agencies, insurance companies, and other insurance-related organizations.
By combining academic knowledge with practical and sector-oriented education, the program aims to prepare graduates for both professional careers and further academic study.
