Our Banking and Insurance Program was established in 2006 within Akdağmadeni Vocational School. The program has a two-year duration and provides both theoretical and practical education. It aims to train qualified professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills required by the sector, preparing them for employment in public and private banks, financial institutions, accounting firms, and insurance companies. To graduate, students must successfully complete all courses in the curriculum, totaling 120 ECTS credits, and complete the compulsory 30-day internship.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates of the program can pursue careers in public and private banks, financial institutions, accounting firms, and information technology centers. Graduates who wish to pursue a career in the insurance sector may work in public and private institutions and organizations providing insurance services or establish their own businesses.

Pursuant to Article 31 of Insurance Law No. 5684, graduates of Banking and Insurance Programs at vocational schools are eligible to establish insurance agencies, subject to the applicable legal and regulatory requirements. In addition, within the scope of the relevant legislation, graduates of the Banking and Insurance Program are granted certain rights regarding examinations and recruitment processes in the insurance sector.

After completing their associate degree, students may take the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) and, subject to the applicable placement requirements, continue their education in bachelor’s degree programs such as:
