Advisory Board Job Description

Brief Description of the Task:

In accordance with the aims and principles determined by the senior management of Yozgat Bozok University, the unit carries out its activities effectively and efficiently.

Duties, Powers and Responsibilities:

• To evaluate the center's activities and make recommendations to the Director and the Board of Directors.
• To support the Center's activities by collaborating with institutions and organizations outside the university.
• To coordinate projects, seminars, thesis studies, panels, symposiums, workshops, and similar scientific events in areas needed by the public and private sectors within the center's fields of activity.
• To make various recommendations in line with national and international developments and to submit these recommendations as a report to the University Occupational Health and Safety Board.
• To perform other duties assigned by the University Board of Directors in line with the center's purpose.
• The Board of Directors consists of ten members: the Director as chairman, and nine members selected by the Rector for a three-year term upon the recommendation of the Board of Directors, from among faculty members of the University or other universities with experience in the Center's fields of activity, and, if they so wish, experts from relevant institutions and organizations.
• New members are selected in the same manner to fill vacant memberships for the remainder of the term.
• Members whose terms have expired may be re-elected.
• It convenes regularly once a year with a simple majority, upon the call of the director.
• The Director may also convene an extraordinary meeting of the Advisory Board if deemed necessary.
• The role of the Board of Directors is to provide assessments and offer consultative opinions and suggestions on matters related to the center's activities as needed.
• The Advisory Board is accountable to the Vice-Rector and the Rector while fulfilling all the aforementioned duties in accordance with laws and regulations.
