YOZGAT VOCATIONAL SCHOOL'S END-OF-TERM EXHIBITION IV HELD

The "End-of-Term Exhibition IV," organized by Yozgat Vocational School (YMYO), was a vibrant event showcasing projects prepared by students throughout the term and awarding prizes. Over 250 works were on display, with 110 projects participating in the competition.

The opening ceremony was attended by Yozgat Bozok University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Tansel Hacıhasanoğlu, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Cezmi Yalınkılıç, Vocational School Director Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Özdemir, Yozgat Commodity Exchange (YTB) President Mehmet Erkekli, and Yozgat Chamber of Industry and Commerce (YSTO) Assembly President Kadir Şahin, along with numerous academics, administrative staff, and representatives of civil society organizations.

In his opening speech, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Tansel Hacıhasanoğlu emphasized the important role of such events in education, where students can put their theoretical knowledge into practice, stating, "When we strengthen university-industry collaboration, we take solid steps for both our academic success and regional development."

Associate Professor Dr. Mustafa Özdemir, the Director of the Vocational School, noted that the students' workshop and laboratory work has been transformed into tangible products, adding, "This exhibition is the best indicator of the quality of vocational education and its achievement of its goals."

Industry representatives supporting the event also highlighted the importance of student projects in the economy. Mehmet Erkekli, President of the Youth and Sports Ministry, said, "The projects produced by our young people with innovative ideas hold great promise for the economic development of Yozgat," while Kadir Şahin, Chairman of the Yozgat Chamber of Commerce and Industry Assembly, stressed the need to strengthen university-industry collaboration.

Traditional Arts and Handicrafts Programs

1st Place: Ayşe Betül Ay, Fatıma Tül Zehra Güner, Mehtap Beyza Ak – 10,000 TL

The winning students received their certificates of achievement and awards from the protocol members. The jury members (Ziya Saydam, İlknur Ersöz, Davuthan Ekici, Harun Güneş, Merve Harmancı) also received certificates of appreciation from the Vocational School Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Özdemir.

At the end of the event, the Vocational School Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Özdemir, presented plaques of appreciation to YTB President Mehmet Erkekli and YSTO Assembly President Kadir Şahin for their contributions to university-sector collaboration.

The exhibition provided a networking environment where students could share their projects directly with sector representatives, offering opportunities for post-graduation employment.
