Program Description

The Office Management and Executive Assistance Program is offered as a daytime education program.

The curriculum includes courses such as Executive Assistance, Office Management, Management and Organization, Keyboarding Techniques, Professional Correspondence, Introduction to Business, Office Software Applications, Information and Communication Technologies, Protocol and Social Etiquette, Organizational Behavior, Time Management, Crisis and Stress Management, General Communication, Fundamentals of Law, Principles of Atatürk and History of the Turkish Revolution I–II, Turkish Language I–II, General Accounting, Economics, and Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Techniques in Business.

The aim of the program is to equip students, by the end of the two-year associate degree program, with organizational skills and competencies in professional correspondence, the use of electronic document management systems, filing and archiving, and office software applications.

Career Opportunities for Graduates

Graduates of the Office Management and Executive Assistance Program may be employed as executive assistants and secretaries in private-sector companies and public institutions. They may also work in relevant departments of various businesses and public or private organizations, including municipalities, associations, chambers, and bar associations. In addition, graduates are qualified to perform executive secretarial and administrative support duties required by professional offices such as law firms, medical practices, engineering offices, and architectural firms.

Transfer to Further Degree Programs

Transfers are carried out in accordance with the “Regulation on the Principles of Transfer at Associate and Bachelor’s Degree Levels between Higher Education Institutions,” prepared in line with the “Principles of Student Transfer between Higher Education Institutions.”

In addition, students may take the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) to continue their education in four-year undergraduate programs at universities.

Graduates of the Office Management and Executive Assistance Program may apply through the DGS for the following undergraduate programs:

Office Management Education, Public Relations, Public Relations and Advertising, Public Relations and Publicity, Business Information Management, Health Institutions Management, Management Information Systems, and Advertising and Public Relations.
