OFFICE MANAGEMENT AND EXECUTIVE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Office Management and Executive Assistance Program started providing education and training in 2009. The Office Management and Executive Assistance Program, which offers daytime education, includes courses such as Executive Assistance, Office Management, Management and Organization, Keyboarding Techniques, Professional Correspondence, Principles of Business Administration, Computerized Office Applications, Information and Communication Technologies, Protocol and Social Conduct Rules, Organizational Behavior, Time Management, Crisis and Stress Management, General Communication, Fundamentals of Law, Principles of Atatürk and History of the Turkish Revolution I-II, Turkish Language I-II, General Accounting, Economics, and Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Techniques in Businesses.

AIM OF THE PROGRAM

The aim of the program is to train qualified professionals who, upon completion of the two-year associate degree program, possess organizational skills, are able to prepare professional correspondence, use electronic document management systems, carry out filing and archiving activities, manage information and documents effectively, and actively use office software applications.

MISSION OF THE PROGRAM

The mission of our Vocational School is to provide and promote research and high-quality educational services that enhance the capacity of society and organizations, and to train qualified professionals at national and international levels who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required by society and organizations. In addition, the program aims to meet the sector’s need for qualified personnel by educating responsible and solution-oriented professionals who continuously improve themselves, possess the necessary knowledge and skills, use computer-based office software and equipment effectively, establish strong interpersonal relations, and communicate efficiently.

VISION OF THE PROGRAM

The vision of the program is to become a high-quality program that brings the sector and education together, responds to the requirements of the contemporary world, and trains individuals with universal qualifications and professional competence. It also aims to educate innovative individuals who respect national values, adapt to rapidly developing technologies, develop solutions to problems in their field, make effective decisions, take responsibility, and demonstrate entrepreneurial qualities.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEAs)

PEA1. To enable graduates to undertake professional responsibilities as executive assistants, office staff, office support personnel, or in similar positions in public institutions, private-sector enterprises, and various service sectors,

PEA2. To enable graduates to effectively apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in office management, official correspondence, filing and archiving, document management, meeting and event organization, and office technologies in professional life,

PEA3. To enable graduates to work as professionals who use Turkish accurately and effectively in internal and external communication processes, possess strong representation skills, and act in accordance with protocol rules, professional ethical principles, confidentiality requirements, and workplace discipline,

PEA4. To enable graduates to sustain their professional development by adapting to changing office technologies, digital business processes, and the expectations of working life,

PEA5. To enable graduates to develop their careers as individuals who are capable of teamwork, problem-solving, effective time management, and contributing to organizational efficiency.

PROGRAM TARGETS

T1. To regularly review the curriculum in line with sector expectations, graduate feedback, and advisory board recommendations, and to make necessary updates.

T2. To develop students’ competencies in office software, correspondence techniques, document management, communication, protocol, and organization through practical activities.

T3. To support students in becoming familiar with professional life and gaining occupational experience through internships, field practices, and cooperation with institutions.

T4. To develop students’ awareness of professional ethics, institutional representation, confidentiality, occupational health and safety, and responsibility.

T5. To strengthen academic and career counseling processes that support graduates’ employability and their opportunities for completing a bachelor’s degree.
