Exams, Measurement and Evaluation

Exams are evaluated out of 100 points. The midterm and final exam results of a course are shown with a numerical score. The score of the exams that the student does not take is zero (0). Accordingly; a) The midterm exam score average is determined by dividing the total of the scores the student received in the midterm exams by the number of midterm exams taken. The half number found in this way is increased to a whole number. b) The raw success score is calculated by adding 40% of the midterm exam(s) score average to 60% of the midterm or final exam score. The fractions are kept the same in the calculation of these ratios, but the half numbers are rounded up to a whole number in the calculation of the raw success score. c) Success grades are determined by the relative evaluation method, the principles of which are determined by the Senate, using raw success scores.
