FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND BANKING

The first coined money was minted by the Lydians on the orders of the Lydian king Alyattes. This process, which began with these coins dating back to the 7th century BC, has continued to the present day with the emergence of paper money in later years. It is difficult to imagine an economic life without money, because it is an important element in meeting needs in every area of life. For this reason, it has become necessary to understand, interpret, and analyze financial markets well, in line with the conditions of our developing era. In our Department of Finance and Banking, students will be given information about how banking works, while also receiving financial education aimed at training the qualified graduates that financial markets demand.

After graduation, our students will have the opportunity to work in various units of many banks as well as in the finance departments of numerous businesses. In both respects — training the qualified personnel needed by the growing banking sector and supplying staff to work in finance units, which are among the most important departments of businesses — the Department of Finance and Banking will help meet this existing need. For this reason, it is thought that finding a job in the sector after graduation will be much easier for students once they have received the education they need.
