How can I log in to OBS?

Students who register to our faculty for the first time can log in to OBS by creating your first password via the link https://ogrencihesap.bozok.edu.tr/Default.aspx.

 

When are student ID cards issued? Where will we receive them?

After the final registration process is completed, they are prepared by the student affairs department within approximately 1 month and delivered to the students in exchange for signature by the student advisors or department heads.

 

How should I choose my courses during course registration? How can I keep track of the courses I have taken and the courses I need to take?

At the beginning of each semester, all students (except preparatory classes) must register for courses within the periods specified in the academic calendar. The student must first choose the course he/she has taken from the horse and then choose the semester course. After completing the course registration, the student sends it to the advisor for approval. After the advisor's approval, the final registration takes place.


Can we take courses from upper semesters during course registration? Up to how many credits can we take?

According to Article 19 of Yozgat Bozok University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations, a student can take a maximum of 45 ECTS credits in one semester. The student must first choose the course below and then the semester course. The student can fill the ECTS credits that he/she cannot fill by taking upper courses (from the next semester). The point to be considered here is that there should be no conflict between the courses that the student will choose according to the current course schedule. Otherwise, the system will allow the student to choose the lower course first in order of priority. 

 

How can I make my course exemptions?

Students are required to apply for course exemption within two weeks from the beginning of the academic semester in which they enrolled.

Documents requested for exemption: Student Petition, Grade Status Certificate, Approved Course Syllabi from the Graduated / Withdrawn School.

 

Can I take overlapping courses?

Since attendance is compulsory, courses that overlap in the course program cannot be taken. 

 

Why can't I enter the courses through BOYSIS even though I have my transcript?

How much absenteeism do we have? How many hours of absenteeism will I be absent? Is the report valid for absenteeism?

According to Article 30 of Yozgat Bozok University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations, a student must attend at least 70% of the theoretical courses and at least 80% of the applied courses in order to take the final exam. A medical report is not an obstacle to attendance, that is, if a student with a medical report does not attend the classes, he/she is considered absent. However, if the reported student cannot take the midterm exams due to illness, he / she can use the excuse exam right for the exams that coincide with this date.

 

Where can we see the dates and locations of the exams held in our faculty?

According to the dates specified in the academic calendar of our university, they can follow the announcements on the Faculty and Department pages.

 

Who can take the Single Course Exam and what are the requirements?

Students who are successful in all but one of the courses foreseen for graduation and fail in a single course for which they fulfill the attendance requirement, and last semester students whose GPA is below 2.00 even though they do not have a failing grade and who are determined by the board of directors of the relevant academic unit that they can increase their GPA above 2.00 with the exam of a single course can take the Single Course Exam.

 

How can I cancel my registration?

After filling in the required fields on the Student Dismissal System, a personal application is required. For students who cannot apply in person, the dismissal process can be carried out by the person appointed as a proxy with the original notary power of attorney. Petition for Dismissal, Dismissal Certificate, Student ID Card are required.
What is a registration freeze? How can I freeze my registration? 

Registration freeze is the process of freezing the registration of students for a maximum of 2 semesters due to the excuses in Article 36 of Yozgat Bozok University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations (these excuses are specified in Article 37). The periods of registration freeze are not included in the maximum student period. The student who wants to cancel the registration freeze must apply to the relevant academic unit until the end of the 4th week of the relevant semester at the latest.

Documents requested for registration freeze: Registration Freeze Request Petition, Document Related to the Reason for Registration Freeze, Health Board Report, Poverty Certificate, Arrest Certificate, Removal of Military Service Deferment.

 

DOCUMENTS

How can I get my student certificate and transcript?

It is necessary to apply to the student affairs office of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in person with a student ID card. However, upon request, the requested document is delivered to a relative or sent by fax (Fax: 0 354 242 10 22).


PAYMENTS

What is Contribution Fee / Tuition Fee?

At the beginning of each semester, students are required to pay the contribution fee/tuition fee determined according to Article 46 of Law No. 2547 within the period specified in the academic calendar. Students who do not pay the tuition fee / contribution fee cannot attend the courses for that semester and cannot benefit from student rights. These fees are determined by the President of the Republic every year according to the principles determined by YÖK. The fee paid by the student who does not attend the courses or whose registration is deleted even though he/she has paid the contribution/tuition fee is not refunded. Students who are ranked in the top 10% of the second education students according to their success average are subject to the first education contribution fee principles.

 

How can I get my tuition refund?

For the refund process, the student must apply to the Registrar's Office with the application form indicating the IBAN number of the student (bank information must be given in full). The receipt showing the amount of tuition deposited and the amount to be transferred to the refund account must be attached.

 

HONOR/HIGH HONOR STUDENTS

What is an Honor/High Honor Student? What are the Conditions?

Students with a GPA between 3.00 and 3.49 graduate as honor students, and students with a GPA above 3.50 graduate as high honor students and this is indicated on their diplomas. However, students who receive disciplinary penalties cannot have this certificate. Students who receive honor/high honor certificates are announced by the relevant academic unit at the beginning of each year/semester. 

 

DOUBLE MAJOR/MINOR PROGRAMS

What is a Double Major/Minor? What are the Requirements? How Can I Apply?

The purpose of the double major program is to enable students who have completed their major undergraduate programs with outstanding success to study for a bachelor's degree in a second major at the same time. In order to apply for this program, the student must have a GPA of at least 2.70 and have no lower courses. The purpose of the minor program is to enable students who have successfully completed their major undergraduate programs to gain knowledge in another branch of their interest. In order to apply for this program, the student must have a GPA of at least 2.50 and cannot have any lower courses. GRADUATION

How do I qualify for a diploma?

Students who have completed at least 240 ECTS credits in four-year faculties, who have no courses below and whose GPA is above 2.00 are eligible to graduate. These students are given a temporary graduation certificate until their diplomas are prepared (to be handed in when receiving the diploma).  However, students who have successfully completed at least 120 ECTS credits in units with eight semesters or more of education and whose GPA is above 2.00 can be awarded an associate degree diploma within the framework of the relevant legislation provisions if they wish. 

Can someone else do my Diploma and Graduation Procedures (Dismissal Procedures)?

You must apply for your Graduation Procedures (Dismissal Procedures) in person with your student ID card to the student affairs office of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. If someone else (including family members) needs to do your graduation procedures, a power of attorney (original) from a notary public is required. Except for the power of attorney, your diploma cannot be delivered to third parties.
