Mission

The mission of the Department is to train contemporary, idealist, inquiring and analytical science and mathematics teachers and academics for lower secondary education who are specialists in their field, who follow developments in education and instruction closely, and who respect human values; to contribute to developments in the field by following them worldwide; to carry out joint projects with various national and international institutions and organisations in order to contribute to the professional development of students and academics; and to provide the necessary support to teachers in our country.

The vision of the Department is to become a department that has attained world standards in its field through the quality of the education it provides; that continuously follows and contributes to developments in its field; that plays an active role in disseminating lifelong learning objectives; that educates devoted teachers and academics; that interacts with its stakeholders; that educates individuals who lead their field through original thought and work; and of which its members are proud to be part.
