The Radio and Television Programming program was established in 2017 under the Department of Audiovisual Techniques and Media Production at Yozgat Bozok University Vocational School. Having begun student admissions in the 2018-2019 academic year, the program boasts a professional academic staff that is well-trained in the field of communication and fully equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and professional background.

The curriculum for our students has been designed based on current professional and academic standards. Consequently, through a combination of field-specific academic knowledge and applied courses, our students graduate as qualified professionals. Furthermore, the program closely monitors rapidly evolving technology, enabling it to quickly adapt to innovations in the communication sector. In terms of technical facilities, our program offers superior resources compared to other universities in the region; it undergoes continuous updates and conducts education-oriented initiatives.

Thanks to the training they receive, our students are able to secure positions in the national and local press, cinema, radio, and other sectors related to the communication industry. Yozgat Bozok University’s Radio and Television Programming program continues to advance by constantly renewing itself and enhancing its intellectual capacity.

The aim of the Radio and Television Programming Program—part of the Department of Audiovisual Techniques and Media Production—is to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to radio and television broadcasting. The program seeks to train graduates who can effectively utilize studio, camera, audio, and editing technologies; execute broadcasting processes according to professional standards; and possess a strong sense of professional ethics and responsibility. It also aims to foster students' skills in creative content production, media management, and communication.

The program’s objectives include making a direct contribution to the sector by training qualified technical personnel for the radio and television fields, boosting students' professional motivation, and guiding their career planning within the broadcasting industry. Key goals also include offering practice-based training opportunities in collaboration with local and national media organizations, ensuring graduates are equipped to adapt to the digital media transformation, and training specialists who—while mindful of regional cultural values—will play a role in societal communication and cultural transmission.
