History
The proposal of our University Senate dated 24/08/2010 regarding the establishment of Yozgat Bozok University Sorgun Vocational School was examined at the General Assembly meeting of Higher Education on 05/05/2011, and the said proposal was deemed appropriate in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, as amended by Law No. 2880. In this context, Sorgun Vocational School was established in 2011.
The proposal to open 13 associate degree programs within our Vocational School was accepted at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting on 13/02/2013. The following programs are currently open: Local Government, Computer Programming, Automotive Technology, Foreign Trade, Tourism and Hotel Management, Private Security and Protection, Mining Technology, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Drilling Technology, and Accounting and Tax Applications. With the acceptance of the student admission file by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), our Vocational School commenced its educational activities in the 2013-2014 academic year.
The following programs are currently offered at Sorgun Vocational School: Computer Programming, Construction Technology, Optometry, Tourism and Hotel Management, Automotive Technology, Private Security and Protection, and Accounting and Tax Applications.
