MISSION

As the Department of Western Languages and Literatures, our mission is to train qualified experts who are highly conscious of foreign languages, capable of effectively expressing their thoughts on international platforms, and proficient in speaking foreign languages fluently and accurately. We aim to cultivate individuals with deep knowledge in the fields of literature, history, and culture.

While striving to ensure our students gain the competence to analyze and research literary and critical texts, we prioritize equipping them with the ability to evaluate the texts they study from social, historical, cultural, and philosophical perspectives.

VISION

As the Department of Western Languages and Literatures, our vision is to represent our university strongly in both national and international academic arenas. Additionally, we aim to elevate our university to a respected position among other institutions through collaborations with educational organizations both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, we seek to enhance intercultural interaction and contribute globally through in-depth studies of both classical and contemporary works.

Our primary objectives also include nurturing individuals who are socially responsible, possess independent and critical thinking, and uphold professional and social ethical values. We aim to develop individuals who are effective communicators, creative, confident, and capable of tracking national and international developments to carry out relevant work in line with these advancements.
