Associate Professor Seyit Uğuz from the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Technology Engineering, Associate Professor Hakan Keles from the Department of Horticulture, and Research Assistant Berna Keles from our Faculty, conducted a research visit to the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at South Dakota State University (SDSU) in the United States as part of the University Cooperation Program (UIP). The visit is being carried out within the scope of the international project titled “Microalgal Conversion of Poultry Emissions and Its Potential Use as a Biofertilizer.” The aim of the studies is to develop innovative technologies for converting poultry emissions into biofertilizer using microalgae, to improve microalgae cultivation and harvesting systems, and to prepare joint scientific publications. Furthermore, the research conducted in SDSU's greenhouse infrastructure, pilot-scale microalgae production systems, and laboratory facilities aims to strengthen scientific cooperation between the two universities and contribute to sustainable agricultural technologies. We wish our professors success in their work.
