As the Agriculture, Education and Environment Volunteers Community established within the Faculty of Agriculture at Yozgat Bozok University, we organized a technical trip to Konya on November 29-30, 2024, as part of the solidarity project titled “The Effects of Global Warming on Agriculture and Measures to be Taken,” supported by the National Agency. The trip, led by Dr. Orhan ERMETİN, the project leader and academic advisor of the student community, involved 39 students and included theoretical and practical training on “Climate Change and Drought” at the Bahri Dağdaş International Agricultural Research Institute in Konya, conducted by experts. Additionally, visits were made to Alp Tarım seed company, Torku Meat and Dairy Products Processing Facilities, and the Tropical Butterfly Garden. The trip also included an examination of sinkholes in the Central Anatolian basin, which have formed as a result of groundwater depletion and soil subsidence.

We would like to express our gratitude to our faculty member, Dr. Orhan ERMETİN, who organized the technical trip as the project leader and academic advisor of the student community. We thank our member Orhan ERMETİN.
