An Orientation Program was held at Akdağmadeni Vocational School to support the adaptation of students admitted to the School for the 2026–2027 academic year to university life and the School.

As part of the program, Lecturer Aysel KOLÇAK KAVASOĞULLARI provided students with comprehensive information on the academic calendar, course registration procedures, the Student Information System (OBS), BOYSİS and other digital student systems, academic advising, the Student Academic Development Activities Program (AGEP), Double Major and Minor programs, Erasmus+ and Orhun exchange programs, career and internship opportunities, student clubs, library and digital resources, student support services, and students’ rights and responsibilities.

The orientation program also included a video introducing the Akdağmadeni district to help students become more familiar with their new surroundings. Information was provided about the academic and administrative structure of Akdağmadeni Vocational School, its physical facilities, departments and programs, and the opportunities available to students. An informative video introducing the services provided by the University’s Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit was also shared with the students.

At the closing of the program, Director of the Vocational School Assoc. Prof. Abdulsamet DURAN addressed the students and emphasized the importance of personal and professional development alongside academic achievement throughout university life. He stated that students should set realistic and achievable goals, pursue these goals with determination, and make effective use of the academic, social, and professional development opportunities offered by the university. He also noted that the School administration, academic staff, and administrative personnel are ready to provide all necessary support to students in any challenges they may encounter during their education.
