SEMINARS ORGANIZED BY YOGEM FOR YOBU FACULTY MEMBERS ARE IN PROGRESS
Within the scope of “Professional Development Seminars for YOBU Faculty Members”, more than 400 faculty members were included in more than ten seminars organized by Yozgat Bozok University Application and Research Center of Development of Learning and Teaching (YOGEM) that carries out studies on the research of learning and teaching processes within university environment.
As a result of the survey study, which was conducted to prepare an environment for the educational development of our university lecturers and students, to provide individual or general support in matters related to learning and teaching, and to determine the points that faculty members need, seminars have been organized on;
Course Design in Distance Education: Simultaneous and Asynchronous Content Presentation, Effective Presentation Preparation,
Online Professional Development Opportunities: International Companies and Portals Offering Free Online Professional Development (Google Edu, Microsoft Edu and Adobe Edu),
Testing and Evaluation in Distance Education,
ISTE Standards for Trainers,
Use of Web 2.0 Tools in Education,
Transition to Distance Education for Academicians,
Writing Projects with University Students,
and Quality Processes in Online Learning.
In the online seminars organized on pedagogical support, professional development and technical / technological development, academics who are experts in their fields and from different universities shared their knowledge and experiences in a wide range.
Making a statement on the subject, YOGEM Director Asst. Prof. Dr. Hatice Çilsalar said: “We work with Distance Education Center (UZEM) in the organization and implementation of our online seminars. I would like to thank Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karadağ, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Güney, UZEM Director Asst. Prof. Dr. Can Meşe, Lect. Ferhat Oflezer and Vice Director of YOGEM Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Haşim Yurttiçi who support us regarding the organization of our seminars.
