OUR RECTOR PARTICIPATES IN THE 5TH TURKISH WORLD DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL AWARD CEREMONY HELD IN OSMANİYE

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karadağ participated in the 5th Turkish World Documentary Film Festival award ceremony held in Osmaniye with the slogan "9 Countries 9 Cities One Festival". The films of the 5th Turkish World Documentary Film Festival, of which our university was also a stakeholder and Our University Vocational School of Social Sciences Lect. Batuhan Kalaycı was a jury member, were also presented to cinema lovers.

Osmaniye Governor Dr. Erdinç Yılmaz,  Gendarmerie Commander Zafer Tombul, Yozgat Bozok University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karadağ, Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Türk, Provincial Police Chief Ahmet Selçuk Okumuş, Provincial General Assembly Chairman Mehmet Ali Gizlice, provincial directors of public institutions and organizations, representatives of non-governmental organizations, representatives of political parties and guests from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tatarstan participated in the ceremony held at the Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry Devlet Bahçeli Meeting Hall.

After the opening speeches, the awards were given to the winners. Atbin Hosseini from Iran was awarded Murat Aliyev Special Prize with the film “Dumanlı Serhed”, Murod Odilov from Uzbekistan was awarded Turkish Council Modern Silk Road Tourism Prize with the film “Suzuk Ota”, Arailym Zhetkerg from Kazakhstan was awarded Jury Culture and Arts Special Prize with the film "Craftsman”, and Hasan Erdoğmuş from Turkey was awarded Festival Organizing Committee Special Prize with the film "Merkeb-i Mesai".

In the student category Sungatullin Sultan Zufarovich from Tatarstan with the film "Dancing in the Corner"  and Çıngız Samudin Uulu from Kyrgyzstan with the film "Imagine" were awarded the third prize, Fatih Ertekin from Turkey was awarded the second prize with the film “Memtevri (Yaylacı)”, and Yağmur Kartal from Turkey was awarded the first prize with the film “Oyuncakçı Saklı Yadigarlar”. The awards were presented by Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karadağ.

In the best professional films category, Mehmet Can Bindal from Turkey with the film “Şems” and Veli Seyadi  from Azerbaijan with the film “Harpıtla” were awarded the third prize, Özer Kesemen from Turkey was awarded the second prize with the film “Diş Ağrısı” and Ibadylla Adjibaev from Kyrgyzstan was awarded the first prize with the film “Öğretmen”. Cüneyt Arkın was awarded the Lifetime Honorary Award of the Turkish World 2020.

In the award ceremony, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karadağ was presented a certificate of appreciation and a plaque by the Turkish World Journalists Federation (TDGD) for their support to the 5th Turkish World Film Festival.
